No, your eyes don’t deceive you; once again, you might come across hundreds of Torontonians baring it all in the streets this weekend.
For over two decades, the World Naked Bike Ride has been a global event since the very first ride that took place in Zaragoza, Spain in 2001. What started as a grassroots movement has blossomed into a global phenomenon now taking place in over 80 cities worldwide, and this June, local riders trade in their everyday outfits for a two-wheeled commute like no other.

While cruising down the city’s streets in your birthday suit is undeniably a core memory waiting to happen, the ride comes with a powerful message. The event serves as a peaceful, high-visibility global protest aiming to fight climate change, demand safer streets for vulnerable cyclists, and celebrate body positivity for absolutely everyone.
The golden rule here is simple: bare as you dare. The event is entirely legal, totally free, and requires zero pre-registration. Whether you want to roll up in full body paint, your favourite swimsuit, or completely au naturel, you’re welcome to participate at whatever comfort level suits you best.
The ride kicks off at Coronation Park in the early afternoon, but organizers recommend arriving early to soak in the pre-ride energy, grab some markers, and decorate your bike or your skin with your own protest messages.

Don’t have a bicycle? No problem. The event welcomes any form of human-powered transport, so feel free to bring your skateboard, rollerblades, or scooter.
If you are renting a City Bike for the occasion, organizers strongly suggest bringing a small towel or cloth to cover the seat for safety and sanitation. You’ll also want to pack a helmet, lather on a generous amount of sunscreen, and bring a change of clothes in a backpack for your commute home once the ride wraps up.
