Toronto’s longest-running free street festival returns this weekend, and it’s about to be its largest celebration to date.
The 47th annual Cabbagetown Festival is back on September 12 and 13, featuring a full weekend filled with over 250 local vendors, pop-up patios, and endless live entertainment spanning an expanded street footprint.

The festival will stretch along Parliament Street from Gerrard to Wellesley, as well as down Carlton Street to Sherbourne, transforming the neighbourhood into a pedestrian-only playground.
From delicious street foods like hot pierogies and savoury BBQ to refreshing craft brews on patio setups, guests can sample dishes from an impressive lineup of neighbourhood staples and visiting food trucks. Those with a sweet tooth are covered too, with local bakeries serving up artisanal gelato, churros, and fresh pastries throughout the weekend.
Besides food, you’ll also find handcrafted Canadian goods, vintage treasures, and cozy home decor, as well as a brand-new Rainbow Market celebrating 2SLGBTQI+ makers, dedicated EDM stage, and various performance zones featuring over 200 local artists, stilt walkers, and drag performers.

Families can head over to Carlton Street to explore the free Kids Zone, packed with magic shows, bouncy castles, interactive games, and storytimes to keep the little ones entertained all day long.
The festival is completely free to attend, and is the perfect way to meet neighbourhood business owners and support local artisans who make up the unique fabric of Cabbagetown.
The 47th Annual Cabbagetown Festival takes place on Saturday, September 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visit their website here for more details.
