The Friends of TPL South Chapter’s Annual Clearance Sale is giving you the chance to play Matilda. Peruse the bostering bookshelves of the magnificent Toronto Reference Library as you fill your bag, or wheelbarrow, with all the novels, comic books, paperbacks, anthologies, memoirs, textbooks, and thrillers your curiosity craves — or all that is in stock, anyhow.
On Thursday, March 19, from 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (or sell-out) the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon of the Toronto Public Library will be dedicated to the sale. ALL items will be priced from $.10 – $1.00.
Stacks on stacks on stacks.
In addition to your fictional and non-fictional friends, thousands of CDs, DVDs, and other items will also be on sale.
One is never enough. Bring your own bags so you can manage to carry your haul back home. All proceeds will go to benefit library programs.
The TPL is one of the busiest library systems in the world. And this is a popular event. So mark your calendar and get there in time so you can satiate your intrigue on a (literal) dime.
