The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics are almost underway, and we already know what Team Canada will be wearing during Friday’s grand opening ceremony!
Vancouver-based yoga brand lululemon is once again the Official Outfitter of Team Canada, and they did not hold back with their Canada-inspired gear this year.
With France’s weather in mind, their collection is complete with “convertible layers adapt to Paris forecasts”, and includes hoodies, t-shirts, joggers, bomber jackets, and a range of fun accessories in Canadian red and white colourways.
Featuring red on red intricate tonal jacquard patterns, you can make out subtle florals and botanicals in the print.
On the jackets, you’ll find two patch logos – one for lululemon, the other for Team Canada.
In support of the athletes, 10% of sales from all of lululemon’s Future Legacy items will go to help Canadian athletes experience the power of sport. These items include a Future Legacy mini belt bag, ball cap, and scarf.
lululemon’s Podium Collection has more of a contrast, with red and white speckled and striped patterns which are “lightweight, modular, [and] wears well with a medal”, according to the website.
As for their Closing Ceremony outfits, the print was said to be inspired by “signs of illumination in nature, like the Aurora Borealis, and celebrates the light Team Canada brings to the Games.”
The “Guiding Bright Light” print in this collection has a dark ground with unfocused bursts of colour.
You can rock your matching gear with the athletes next week at the Team Canada FanFest, or while you watch the Games at home.
