La Nina meaning “little girl” will be impacting Canada’s oceans and create cooler temperatures again this year, according to a 2023 weather forecast from The Weather Network. While temperatures have been more on the warm side, there’s now a shift into cooler temperatures which seem to be predicting what we’ll be seeing in Toronto for December through February.
Aside from La Nina, there’s expected to be a piece of the polar vortex located above northern Canada that’ll send arctic winds down into December. Fortunately, there will be some periods in January and February that’ll lighten up a bit. Western Canada will see a frigid winter as what is normally the case with La Nina weather.
Ontario will see above-normal precipitation and snowfall this winter and it’s predicted that the winter storms will bring a lot of snow and rain to the province.
December will have colder-than-normal temperatures the first week of December and won’t let up until January and February, where we’re expected to see some short breaks. There will be an abundance of snow so skiiers and snowboarders will have an excellent season this year.
So, what do you think? Are you ready for this winter?
