If you’re planning a trip to the country’s largest amusement park this summer, you’ll want to double-check their updated rules for 2026.
Canada’s Wonderland has officially announced that its chaperone policy for guests aged 15 and under is now a permanent fixture for the upcoming season.

Originally introduced as a temporary measure last September, the park is now cementing the rule in response to what it describes as a “growing trend of unruly and inappropriate behaviour” across the amusement park industry.
The Details
Starting May 1, the new rules state that any guest aged 15 or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old if they want to enter or remain in the park after 4 p.m. daily.
But don’t think you can just drop the kids off at the gate; chaperones are required to show a valid government-issued photo ID at entry and can only supervise a maximum of 10 guests per day. While the policy officially kicks off in the late afternoon, the park has noted they reserve the right to implement the rule earlier in the day if operational needs arise.
While the requirement might seem strict, the park emphasizes that the goal is to keep the vibes high and the environment safe for everyone.
As for the parent chaperones, you don’t necessarily have to wait in every single line for the Yukon Striker with your group. Chaperones aren’t required to stay glued to their party at all times, but they must remain inside the park and be reachable by staff via phone throughout the visit.
Be warned: the park isn’t playing around when it comes to the new fine print. Anyone found in violation of the policy will be subject to immediate removal from the grounds.
