A legendary L.A. export that has earned a global cult following for its gourmet takes on breakfast is finally ready to crack open in Toronto.
For years, foodies have flocked to Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo to get a taste of Eggslut, the chef-driven concept that turned breakfast sandwiches into an art form. Now, the wait is officially over for Torontonians, as the brand’s first-ever Canadian outpost opens its doors on King Street West tomorrow, April 30.

What started as a humble food truck in 2011 has blossomed into an international phenomenon. Known for its balance of high-quality ingredients and craveable comfort, the Toronto location promises to deliver the same elevated experience that made the brand a household name.
On the menu, guests can expect their iconic signatures like The Fairfax – a brioche bun packed with cage-free soft scrambled eggs, cheddar, caramelized onions, and a kick of sriracha mayo. Don’t miss trying the namesake dish, The Slut, at least once, which features a coddled egg atop smooth potato purée, finished with grey salt and chives.

“Toronto is a city that truly shows up for food,” says Andy Lee, Co-Owner of Eggslut. “We’re excited to introduce Eggslut to the market and let the food speak for itself.”
While the brand has global roots, the Toronto debut is a homegrown affair. The shop is entirely Canadian-run, sourcing essentials like eggs directly from Ontario’s own Burnbrae Farms to ensure the menu stays rooted in the local community.
If one location isn’t enough, don’t worry; this is just the beginning. A second location is already slated to arrive at Yonge and Dundas this summer, with further expansions toward Vancouver on the horizon.
You can find Eggslut at 545 King Street West starting tomorrow at its grand opening.
