One of our favorite holiday traditions is to head out into the city and dip into a warm and festively-decorated bar. With Holiday bar season nearly upon us, enjoy these three festive offerings you can find around the city.
1. Pingle’s Farm Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
Head over to Pingle’s Farm for their 19+ holiday-themed pop up bar taking place in their greenhouse. The Ugly Sweater Party is adults-only with themed-drinks an all-you-can-eat “merry menu”, live music, and cozy campfires. Every Friday in December you can head to the farm for their party. Tickets cost $59.99 and include entertainment and food, while drinks are an additional cost.
Some of the food included are chicken tacos, caramelized pear and brie pizza, turkey meatballs, gnocchi, and more and 6 different cocktails.
2. Miracle Bar
One of the most popular holiday pop-up bar in North America, Miracle Bar is popping up again in Toronto for another year. As the others, a Chrstmas-themed bar will be serving cocktails by the Civil Liberties team. Since their arrival in 2018 in Toronto, Miracle has been a fan favorite of the city and will be popping up at 875 Bloor St West, home of Third Place Toronto, at Bloor and Ossington. Miracle Bar is walk-ins only (there’s a waitlist if you arrive and there’s no table).
Looking at the menu, Miracle offers holiday-themed cocktails in fun glassware (some of which you can buy like shot glasses). They’ve got a variety of 11 cocktails, 2 hot–their Hot Buttered Rum and Mulled Wine–and 9 cocktails on ice like the Santa’s Little Helper with gin, caraway syrup and eucalyptus or the Snowball Old Fashioned with rye and gingerbread.
The hours and address are as follows:

Toronto, ON M6G 1M4
Hours: Monday to Wednesday 6pm -12am
Thursday & Friday 6pm – 2am
Saturday 2pm – 2am

3. The Thirsty Elf
One of the most gorgeous holiday bars in Toronto lies in the Fairmont Royal York in downtown. The Thirsty Elf is one of the most popular pop up holiday bars, strewn with gorgeous garland and Christmas baubles and lights decorating every corner from ceiling to floor.
Of course, no holiday pop up bar is complete without a lineup of 6 themed-cocktails (and one wihout alcohol). Try their Candy Cane with Tanqueray No Ten Gin, Crème de Menthe,
Lemon, Sugar, Egg White, Vanilla, Eucalyptus, and bitters or the Christmas Smore with Johnnie Walker Black Label, Crème de Cacao, Miso Graham Cracker Syrup, Cream, Egg White, and Toasted Marshmallow.
