Toronto’s beloved Jacobs & Co. Steakhouse has once again garnered international acclaim, earning a place on the 2025 edition of the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list.
Known for their quality cuts of steak, tableside Caeser salads, and elegant environment, Michelin-recognized Jacobs & Co. secured the #76 spot among top steakhouses worldwide.
The annual ranking curated by London-based Upper Cut Media House celebrates standout steakhouses across the globe, and is now in its seventh year.
Restaurants are evaluated based on nine key criteria, including the quality and variety of meat cuts, service expertise, detailed menu descriptions, curated wine offerings, reservation efficiency, online presence, ambiance, and a strict no “pay-for-play” policy.
Evaluations are conducted by 2–4 seasoned Steak Ambassadors per region—experts such as chefs, meat masters, and food journalists—who assess restaurants in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific. Each listed restaurant is visited anonymously at least once, with final decisions made following tastings by the executive team.
This year’s list is more expansive and competitive than ever, featuring 33 new entries from various continents.
Although Jacobs & Co. dropped slightly from its 2024 position at #73, the continued recognition is a testament to its enduring excellence.
Speaking on this year’s ranking, the restaurant shared to their social media “A heartfelt thank you to our incredible team and to the @worldbeststeakrestaurants. As we prepare to open the doors to our new home, this recognition is a meaningful reminder of the craft, care, and dedication behind every service.”
Currently preparing to reopen in a brand new location in Toronto’s Financial District, Jacobs & Co. will welcome back guests on May 14, 2025 on the 4th floor of the CIBC Square south office tower at 81 Bay Street.
They are also already accepting reservations, so if you want to try one of the best steakhouses in the world, book your table here!
