If you’ve ever been on a road trip through Ontario’s cottage country, you’re probably familiar with Kawartha Dairy ice cream shops.
The 100% Canadian company headquartered in Bobcaygeon, Ontario has been serving its ice cream and dairy products across the province since 1937, and can also be found in grocery stores, retail outlets, and partner shops in the city.
However, they’ve surprisingly never had a standalone brick-and-mortar shop in Toronto – until now, that is.
Yesterday, the company announced after months of anticipation that they are finally open on the Danforth, located at 888 Danforth Avenue.
Serving everything from classic flavours like French Vanilla and Death by Chocolate to Canadian-themed Nanaimo Bar or Muskoka Mocha, there’s a flavour everyone will enjoy! Don’t eat dairy? They’ve also got a variety of sorbets and lactose-free offerings too.
The Toronto location is one of three new stores Kawartha Dairy will is opening, along with one in Cobourg and Burlington. Kawartha Dairy on the Danforth is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Welcome to the neighbourhood, Kawartha Dairy!
