One of the world’s most iconic natural wonders is about to become the backdrop for a historic New Year’s Eve celebration that bridges two nations.
In a spectacular display of cross-border camaraderie, Niagara Falls will host a joint fireworks extravaganza to ring in 2026. This year, the celebration is doubling down on the party, as Canada and the USA synchronize their displays for a panoramic experience.
At the stroke of midnight, the sky will ignite for nine dazzling minutes. Fireworks will launch simultaneously from both sides of the Niagara River, painting the mist in gorgeous hues and colours.
For those celebrating with little ones or anyone looking to skip the midnight rush, a special bonus fireworks show is scheduled for 8 p.m. It’s the perfect opportunity for families to soak up the magic and still get the kids tucked in on time.

The festivities will kick off long before the countdown. As part of the ongoing Winter Festival of Lights, visitors can catch the Laser Light Spectacular in Queen Victoria Park. These immersive laser light shows run every half hour starting at 6 p.m., featuring vivid laser lightbeams synchronized to music, all set against the glow of a million twinkling lights.

After the fireworks end, you can continue the evening at Clifton Hill and Fallsview Boulevard districts, where world-famous attractions, bars, and restaurants will stay open late into the early hours of the new year. Alternatively, indulge in a prix-fixe dinner with a view of the falls, take a midnight ride on the Niagara SkyWheel, or explore the historic Niagara Parks Power Station.
Whether you’re watching from a high-rise hotel or the edge of the promenade, there is no better place to kick off 2026 with a bang.
