Starting Tuesday, August 18, New York City is officially launching its brand-new “Northern Neighbour Deal,” a citywide tourism campaign created specifically to offer Canadians a major break on travel costs.
In an effort to help offset the current currency exchange rate, the limited-time promotion will give Canadian visitors an impressive 30 per cent off across the city. Last winter, Las Vegas offered a similar initiative, letting Canadians pay CAD at the same value as USD at three hotels in Sin City.
The deep discount in NYC applies to more than 85 participating spots across the five boroughs. Travellers can score savings on over 40 popular hotels, iconic Broadway shows, famous landmark attractions, top-tier restaurants, and world-class museums.
Whether you want to catch a hit Broadway musical like Aladdin or Chicago, take in sweeping skyline views from the Edge or the Empire State Building Observation Deck, or explore iconic cultural institutions, the 30 per cent price drop makes taking a trip far more accessible. Plus, carriers like Porter Airlines are offering up to 20 per cent off flights to NYC to sweeten the deal even further.
The Northern Neighbour Deal promotion runs from August 18 through September 7, making it the perfect excuse to plan a late-summer escape or Labour Day long weekend trip.
