Toronto is about to get its first dose of summer, with temperatures predicted to reach as high as 18 C this Wednesday.
After what was officially the city’s warmest winter on record, spring is most certainly on its way, with even the cherry blossom trees budding weeks earlier than usual.
According to the Weather Network, a “massive warm-up is on deck” for Ontario as a warmer pattern builds over the Great Lakes.
Temperatures have already reached the low teens as of Tuesday, March 12, and are expected to peak midday Wednesday.
Typical daytime highs for this time of year hover between 4 C and 5 C, with lows around -2 C to – 3 C.
Unfortunately, the balmy temperatures won’t last for long, as the network warns that a “much colder pattern is expected to develop around the official first day of spring”, which is anticipated to last through early April.
Don’t stow away those winter clothes just yet!
