Toronto has a lot going for it from being ranked one of the coolest cities to best cities for millennials, and now, another badge of honour has been added to the list!
For those who love to travel, Toronto Pearson Airport was once again named one of the top three “Best Airports over 40 Million Passengers in North America,” awarded by Airports Council International (ACI) World. This marks the second consecutive year Pearson has received this award and the seventh time in the past eight years.
The prestigious accolade is part of ACI World’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program, which recognizes airports that deliver exceptional passenger experiences.
Pearson International Airport also shares the honour with Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The ASQ Awards are based on real-time feedback collected directly from travellers through live surveys conducted at airports worldwide, and recognizes airports with the top 20% overall satisfaction score by size and region at departure.
Deborah Flint, President and CEO of Toronto Pearson, credited the win to Pearson’s dedicated employees.
“It is an honour to receive this ASQ award for the second consecutive year. This achievement is a direct reflection of the passion and dedication of our employees, who show up every day and every night, demonstrating their commitment to our customers and delivering excellence,” she said.
“This recognition further strengthens our commitment to transforming Toronto Pearson into one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.”
Toronto Pearson’s award-winning streak has spanned 2017 to 2021, and again in 2023 and 2024. It only faltered in 2022, with airports Dallas Fort Worth International and San Francisco International being the sole two named in the “Over 40 million passengers per year” category.
Hopefully the trend continues and Toronto Pearson can keep the streak alive in the coming years!
