The enchanting waterfront city of Zurich, Switzerland is about to get a whole lot easier for Torontonians to get to, with a new direct flight launching next month.
Stroll along the Limmat River, wander through Medieval Old Town, and indulge in the best Swiss fondue and chocolate you can find!
Swiss International Air Lines, also known as Swiss Air, will begin flying from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport as of May 10, departing daily at 4:35 p.m. with the exception of Mondays and Wednesdays.
The flights will arrive in Zurich at 6:30 a.m. local time. From Zurich back to Toronto, the flights will depart at 9:55 a.m., landing in Toronto at 2 p.m. local time.

The new direct route is one of many exciting flight introductions to Toronto’s international airport. This June, a direct route between Toronto and Osaka Japan commences, offered three times a week until October.
European airline Icelandair is also expanding its offerings to the lesser-frequented destination of the Faroe Islands. Anyone flying from Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, or Montreal can take advantage of direct flights from Reykjavik’s Keflavík International Airport to Vágar Airport in the Faroes.
