One of this year’s biggest highlights is Kx5, the acclaimed collaboration between deadmau5 and Kaskade. They’ll be joining an all-star lineup that includes Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, FISHER, and Illenium.
The festival also features electronic favourites like Charlotte de Witte, ARTBAT, Galantis, James Hype, and Lost Frequencies, along with bass heavyweights Subtronics, Slander, and Black Tiger Sex Machine. Techno and house fans can catch sets from Sara Landry, Mau P, and Miss Monique, with more than 50 artists performing across the Main Stage, Bass Stage, and Sirkus Stage.
Beyond the music, VELD is known for its towering Ferris wheel, immersive stage production, and interactive activations spread throughout the festival grounds. Before you go, keep in mind that the event is 19+ and fully cashless. Be sure to bring a tap-enabled payment card.
One of VELD’s biggest advantages is its location. Unlike most major North American electronic music festivals, it’s held directly on a subway line, with Downsview Park Station on TTC Line 1 just steps from the festival grounds, making it easy to avoid traffic, parking hassles, and surge-priced rides.
With three days of music, three stages, and Kx5 leading the lineup, VELD is set to be one of Toronto’s biggest music weekends of the summer. If you’re planning to go, it’s worth securing your tickets early before prices rise or the festival sells out.
