It’s almost that time of year when a number of Torontonians will strip down for the international clothing-optional World Naked Bike Ride!
The annual event originated in Canada’s own Vancouver, B.C., now taking place in 80 cities worldwide.
This year, riders will come together for the World Naked Bike Ride on June 8, 2024.
According to the website, the ride is a “global protest against the over usage of oil and urban pollution, promoting greater cycling safety on our roads, and encouraging body freedom for everyone.”
There is no cost or registration to join, and you can wear as much or as little as you like, be it your birthday suit, body paint, bathing suit, or fully clothed.
Participants are asked to meet at Coronation Park at 1 p.m., before proceeding to follow a route along several major streets in the downtown core.
All you have to do is show up with your bike and helmet, and away you go!
For those who don’t have their own bike, the website suggests you cover the seat for safety and sanitation.
