Thrill-seekers, it should be any day now!
Canada’s Wonderland may have opened up last month for the summer season already, but park-goers have been eagerly anticipating the grand reveal of the highly anticipated AlpenFury roller coaster, which will become Canada’s fastest, longest, and tallest coaster.
Holding multiple world records, AlpenFury features an adrenaline-pumping launch that propels riders directly into Wonder Mountain before shooting them 50 metres into the sky at speeds of 115 km/h. This is followed by nine inversions, the most for any launch coaster in the world.
Well, the good news is that according to their Instagram post, construction crews have officially installed the final piece of the ride, just a small part of the 1,000-metre track. Once extensive testing is complete, AlpenFury should open within the coming few weeks.
Be sure to keep an eye on their website and socials for updates!
In the meantime, you can still visit the park’s 200+ other attractions, which includes 19 roller coasters, two children’s areas, and the 20-acre water park Splash Works.
Open until September 1, you can visit their website here to get your park passes in advance.
