1. Canada’s Wonderland
As the largest amusement park in Canada, we in Toronto are lucky enough to be less than an hour’s drive away (pending good traffic) from the epic Canada’s Wonderland. With 200+ attractions, 69 water rides, and 16 roller coasters, this theme park in Vaughan is perfect for all ages.
During the summer months, cool off at their expansive water park Splash Works, which spans 20 acres! There’s also tons of food and beverage options, entertainment, and events going on throughout the year.

2. Centreville Island Amusement Park
Geared towards families with young children, the Centreville Island Amusement Park is perfect for a weekend outing to escape the city’s concrete jungle. Hop on the ferry from the Toronto Harbour to Centre Island and check out the park’s over 30 rides, from the Antique Carousel to Twirling Teacups.
Afterwards, stroll along one of the many trails throughout the island or grab a bite to eat at the various food outlets. You’ll also be treated to a stunning skyline view of Toronto from across the lake.

3. Clifton Hill
Though it’s not technically a theme park, Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls is packed with year-round attractions and entertainment, including the Niagara SkyWheel, wax museums, arcades, mini golf, and so much more.
Found just a block away from the enchanting Niagara Falls, this “Street of Fun” has something for all ages. If you visit during the summer months, don’t miss the nightly fireworks shows lighting up the town!

4. Wet’n’Wild
Wet’n’Wild is the GTA’s biggest water park found in Brampton, home to 14 various water attractions to experience. Beat the heat in their lazy river or wave pool, or get a rush of adrenaline on the Oh Canada!, where you’ll freefall through an almost vertical chute before spiraling through a 360˚ loop.
This summer, Wet’n’Wild will also host a number of fun events to check out, such as DJ weekends, a Barbie-themed pool party, or a Latin festival.

5. Santa’s Village
While it might sound like a Christmas time event, Santa’s Village is actually a summer vacation destination found in Muskoka, Ontario’s cottage country. Spanning 24 hectares, the magical park features themed rides, water attractions, farm animals to visit, and of course, visits with Santa and his elves.
There’s also multiple onsite dining offerings like The Yule Lodge and Mrs. Claus’ Bakeshop, and you are more than welcome to stay overnight at one of the various campsites.
