It’s the last weekend of Pride events in Toronto!
Here are all the events you can attend this weekend:
Saturday June 26th 2021:
- 1-2pm: Dyke Pride
This virtual Dyke March welcomes all self-identified Dykes and is curated by The Dyke Community Committee. This event is an “online grassroots political demonstration with critical mass”.
- 2:30-3:30pm: ASL Programming
Curated by the Deaf Spectrum, this event is a celebration of the Queer d/Deaf ASL artists.
- 4-5pm: Pride Live
This one hour production showcases Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ talent, including musicians and vocalists. Artists include LP, Rawle, Brandyn King Leo, Tara Marci and more.
- 5:30-6:30pm: Alternaqueer
This event is a “fever dream of some of the filthiest human beings on this planet, performing some of the most tantalizing, smutty, and sometimes strangely meaningful acts Toronto has to offer”.
- 7-8:30pm: Drag Ball
This year’s Drag Ball is hosted by Canada’s Drag Race legend Boa! Performers include Gay Jesus, Halal Bae, Bombae, Ivory Towers and more.
- 9-10pm: Yohomo
This event celebrate 40 years of Pride with one hour of music, dancing, projections and more. The two Yohomo DJs are Armand Digdoyo and Phillipe. Performers include MANGO, Tygr Willy, Ferrera Rose and more.
Sunday June 27th 2021:
- 2-3pm: Pride Parade
Hosted by Priyanka, this is a one hour production honouring our history, highlighting key Toronto talent and foster community.
- 3:30-5pm: Revolution Closing Ceremony
Featuring 90s music, poetry and dance, this event celebrates moving one step closer to ending the struggle for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
Blockorama is the largest and longest-running stage at Pride Toronto’s annual festival. It celebrates local Black performers and focuses on Black Love. Curated by Blackness Yes!, performers include Nicolette Brown, Karim Olen Ash and more.
