The upcoming week in Toronto is living up to its “Polar-Coaster” predictions made by The Farmers’ Almanac back in January.
With an active frost advisory alert in effect for tonight into Thursday, The Weather Network recommends taking preventative measures and covering up any outdoor plants to prevent potential damage and destruction.
Overnight lows will dip below the freezing mark, so be sure to bundle up if you’re heading out.
“Widespread frost is expected tonight into early Thursday morning as temperatures drop below the freezing mark. Frost may return Thursday night,” reads the website.
However, things will look a lot different by Sunday, with temperatures feeling as high as 25 C in the city!
By Sunday afternoon, the forecast predicts Toronto will reach a high of 23 C, but the humidex will make it feel like 25 C.
While there will be a 40 per cent chance of showers, it will otherwise almost feel like summer.
Other parts of southwestern Ontario could even feel as warm as 31 C with the humidex factors, with Windsor, Hamilton, and London expected to hit 25 C.
For those who haven’t had a chance to see the city’s cherry blossom blooms yet, it may be the perfect opportunity to catch the last of the flowers without having to wear a parka.
