There’s always a new bar or restaurant cropping up in Toronto, but we know that restaurant news is hard to keep up with so we’ve done the scouring for you. Check out these 6 restaurants we thought were worth highlighting around the city for a change of a pace and maybe you’ll even discover your new favorite weekend spot.
1. Bad Attitude
A quick stop that will leave you asking, “Is this really vegan?” Yep! Everything is 100% vegan. Head over for pillowy, fluff buns bursting with fresh flavor (like their blueberry basil bun) or try a Rhubarb Marbled Sweet Rye Cookie for a unique take on the summer ingredient. What’s even more fun is that they have pop ups every Sunday where they host different local companies, so there’s always something unique and sweet going on.

Tapas seem to be the thing to try this summer, but we aren’t complaining! Santa Marta Bar y Tapas is celebrating all things Spanish with delicious crispy paella topped with juicy seafood, crisp glasses of albarino white wine, Huevos Rotos with chorizo (meaning ‘broken egg’ which is made of crisp golden fries topped with a runny egg and salty chorizo) and palette cleansing grilled prawns that are simple in flavor but nevertheless amazing.
