1. Toronto Eaton Centre
The Toronto Eaton Centre’s Christmas tree is not only decked out from top to bottom in changing lights – it’s also said to be the tallest in all of North America! Standing at 114 feet tall (34.8 metres), the iconic centrepiece of the mall’s atrium is a marvelous sight to see. The magical experience also includes the fake falling snow, transforming the indoor space into a winter wonderland.

2. Distillery Winter Village
Toronto’s beloved Winter Village at the Distillery District has ranked as one of the best Christmas markets in the world, so naturally, its Christmas tree is dressed to impress. This year, the 55-ft-tall silver fir tree sourced from Mono Township is once again sponsored by Dior, sparkling with ornate decorations and countless twinkling lights. While exploring the village, you can warm up with some aromatic mulled wine or a hot chocolate before catching one of the live performances, or shop local vendors selling gifts, souvenirs, and treats.

3. Harbourfront Winterfest
Head on down to Toronto’s newest winter festival, which has taken over Harbourfront Centre by the water. Running every weekend from Friday to Sunday until January 5, 2025, this free festival features a gigantic Christmas tree you can actually walk into, towering at 30-ft tall. There is also an outdoor skating rink, artisan vendors, food trucks, activations, and so much more at this free seasonal event.

As tradition for over 94 years, the Fairmont Royal York has once again outdone itself with its elaborate decorations and dazzling Christmas tree. Head down to City Hall to see Toronto’s official Christmas tree at the 58th annual Cavalcade of Lights. The giant White Spruce Tree stands at 55 feet tall (16.7 metres), and is surrounded by beautiful light installations inspired by holiday festivals and cultures around the globe. You can also lace up and go for a skate on the outdoor rink for free!

6. Casa Loma
Toronto’s most famous castle-style mansion is embracing the holidays with the return of their annual Christmas at the Castle and Holiday Lights experiences. Wander an illuminated trail with seemingly endless sparkling lights, see live performances, and meet Santa and his elves. Casa Loma has multiple Christmas trees to see, including an elaborate 25 foot tall (7.6 metre) Christmas tree within the Great Hall.

7. Winter Glow
Visit Sankofa Square from December 5 – December 22, 2024 for their second annual Winter Glow carnival, bringing twinkling Christmas lights, carnival rides, games, and entertainment to the heart of Toronto. The festival’s Tree of Remembrance is extra special, where visitors can donate in exchange for a yellow ribbon which they can write a message to someone who has passed on before attaching it to the tree.
